It's not an ulcer...

It's my gallbladder and it's coming out this week. So prayers and good wishes for a safe surgery and uneventful test results, please.

Thinking of you.

My mom (and her sisters!) have all had that surgery and it all went fine.

Prayers are on the way!

My sister had hers out last year and did very well. In fact, she found the after-surgery discomfort preferable to that of the pre-surgery pain.

Feel better! I've missed your posts! I had that surgery after my first was born. I was so sick, and the surgery helped so much! An easy recovery - just no lifting for 2 weeks. You can do it!

We're praying for you down here - I got my gallbladder out two years ago and it was a pretty easy surgery to recover from, comparatively speaking...here's hopeful wishes for a quick recovery and clean test results!

I'm pretty sure you'll have to have it done laposcopically (however it may be spelled) and, sadly, that means no free pass on the vacuuming. Feel better soon and in the meantime, milk it for all it's worth! Make that family wait on you hand and foot!
My mum had hers out and felt better very quickly, I must say, even though hers was in the days before the laposcope, if that is indeed the word.
Oh, and just in case this comment isn't long enough, I'm praying all goes well.

You bet I'll be praying for you this week. Try to rest and get better real quick!

I hope it goes really well. I will echo everyone else with the "prayers" word.

I hope all goes well. One of my friends had her gall bladder out and everything went swimmingly. I wish the same for you.

Hopefully this clears things up quickly and you can start feeling better. Finally.
Even if it isn't MAJOR surgery, you milk this puppy for all the vacuuming and casseroles you can get.

I'm so glad they figured that out. I hope you will have a quick recovery and be all well in plenty of time to eat holiday foods without pain! :)

Praying for you, Beck! Feel better soon.

Prayers and good wishes, Indeed. I don't know anyone right off who's done that, but I'm hoping the best for you.

Thinking of you, Beck. It will be fine.

And there I was already wondering why you hadn't posted for ages - ALL the best for you, this sounds so scary.

But at least you found a reason for your sickness and I pray it will also be completely cured and you feel strenght again.

Sending a hug - your voice is missed in bloggerworld, no one is Beck like you are :-)

I had mine removed after my first was born, and other than the Great Stress of Knowing it Was Surgery, it was fine. I hope everything goes as smoothly as it possibly can, and you get plenty of rest, relaxation and pampering! Feel better soon, Beck!

This has got to be generating all kinds of great artwork and stories to cheer you up from the kids!

Definitely praying all goes well with the surgery and a speedy recovery.

I had that when I was 21! Sending prayers your way. It will be a quick recovery, not like in the days before laparoscopy ...

I had that surgery four years ago and it was a breeze. I felt fine within days--SO much better than I was feeling before, that's for sure!

I am glad it is something that can be fixed. Best wishes on the surgery and prayers for everything going smoothly.

Hey, Beck, sorry to hear it. I have gallbladder problems, too, so I know how miserable it can be. So far I have avoided surgery, but the flare-ups are pretty nasty. I am glad you got diagnosed quickly, because some people I've known were told "This is all in your head." Really?!

Done. I was actually going to email you today to see how you are doing. I hope all the tests come back ok and you have a speedy recovery.

I hope it all went well, Beck. I have GB issues too and they're not nice. Hopefully after surgery you'll feel much better!

PHEW! I had mine out 9 years ago. I'm happy-but-not to report that I lost 35lbs the year preceding that. We don't discuss what's happened since....
Hopefully you've had a solid recovery by now and you're feeling almost back to normal!
(Okay, word verification is "BINGE". Har!)
