I still have a few mixed tapes. Somehow the sentimental values trumps that of a playlist in itunes. This comes close, how sweet of you to gift your readers. ;0)
Ah, mixed tapes, lovingly made by slacker college boyfriends. Or blogging buddies. Good times. :)
By the time I was in HS, it was mixed CDs. ;)
I think we have similar tastes in music, judging from this list.
Love this. I might be hanging out to listen. And so funny- on one of my fave summer mixes is Get Out The Map.
Have you heard First Aid Kit yet? They do an awesome cover of Fleet Foxes Tiger Mountain Peasant Song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HMrqBldlqzA

Great list. I had fun going through them. I recognized some ... not so much others. But I am all about new music so you have broadened my scope of artistic endevors (and yes I know I spelled that wrong but I have no clue. My vocabulary is clearly more advanced than my skill).
Ah, the mixed tape. Is there anything that shows love as much as that?
A few years ago I found a mixed tape made for my husband by an old girlfriend and it filled me with rage and also hilarity at some of the songs.
Uh huh, we must be the same age. High school indeed. I still have the mixed tape my HS boyfriend made me...which is cool with hubs, but only b/c he's the HS boyfriend.
Thx for sharing your summer mix.
I do believe I'll sit and listen to your mix tape, uninterrupted, some time this week. I'll paint my nails and rat my hair and sketch out the perfect prom dress that I'll make out of vintage hand-me-downs.
It was the Beyonce song that sold me.
Also, your word verification code:
nonarded.
That's all.
what a cute idea--I may borrow it! thanks for the great stroll down memory lane!
