On Linguistics. And Cheese.

On Keeping One's Elders Amused.

"Papa, I have a new game for us. It is called You Sit There And I Dump This Shovel Of Sand On Your Head."

On Timeless Beauty.

"Oh, I love this dress! It's so antique and pretty. It reminds me of long-time ago girls, like from seven years ago."

On Linguistics, Part II.

"I am inventing a new language because I am tired of saying no in English all of the time."

Great quotes! We'll be expecting a Primer on the new language when it's ready.

I have to agree with Baby on needing a new way to say "No." I'm getting tired of the old way.

Like from 7 years ago!!! So precious..
I will remember that eloquence the next time I order pizza... and I will say, "with mozzarella." No more, "just cheese."

Yeah, she and Rose would definitely make quite the team. Rose speaks Spanish all the time, thusly: "Maybe is Spanish for 'Yes'." (Etc.)

Ha! Fantastic! I particularly like the last one.

Hmm, I wonder where the Baby gets her way with words? :)

I love it! More ways to say "no"...

Ha! Mozzerella is stylish - I'm so happy because it really is one of my top five cheeses. :0)

Awesome.

But, is mozzarella a stylish cheese, in her opinion?

This is priceless, as, I expect, is the girl.

Our latest games pretty much involve "raise your hand if..." and tell me which is your favourite and other pleas for attention.

I am so glad the Baby is inventing a new language, FOR THAT VERY SAME REASON.

I'm tired of saying no in English all the time too. Let me know what she comes up with!

it really is best to be able to say no in several languages... so you can sound elegant while rejecting Mozerella

Oh my word! You are in trouble, Miss Beck, because she is brilliant and funny! (And I'm sure gorgeous to boot!)

That is my FAVORITE POST EVER! Not only is the picture absolutely gorgeous, but the baby is brilliant! I loved the little bits of wisdom she shares...antique, like from seven years ago. That one was marvelous!

My kids are also constantly creating a new language. In fact, that is one of the activities for today...adding words to the language.

Oh, my, Beck. These are priceless.

I love her sounding off-isms--especially the one about her dress!

Love it! Clever and funny. Perhaps she could just learn to say "no" in six or seven languages for variety. :)

Could she be the smartest little toot knocker in all the land?

I think so.
