It's a holiday!

... if you live in Canada, that is. And if not: have fun working, non-Canadians!

I've announced the winner over at my Kitchen Party post today. And while you dry your tears over not winning a spiffy new pressure cooker, you can share your weekday cooking tips with everyone. (and if you don't have any cooking advice, you can go say hi. I'm always glad to hear from you....)

Whoo, I am EXHAUSTED. I spent all weekend (did you notice I was gone? Probably not.) at a family reunion, which I'll write about tomorrow. In the meantime, I'm going to go spend this lovely, overcast day having a nap. Seize the day: that is my motto.

oh joy a holiday. I did have fun trying to explain WHY we had yet another holiday to my american coworkers. The conversation boiled down to "cause we wanted one"

:)

I was at a family reunion, too. I have to write something funny about it. Maybe I can just copy whatever you write? Hmmm?

and family reunion is such a foreign concept to me. i've read about them in books, but my family is not so much with the reunion-ing. wonder what that's all about?

I got all excited until I remembered that you have to be from Canada to win. Bugger. Ah well. :)

Happy holiday!

No holidays here, boo hoo.
I did notice you were gone - it was a quiet weekend without several of my daily reads.

Heading to the party now.

I think I'll join you in a nap. Why is it we need a vacation to get over our vacations? Anyway, I can't believe I missed a chance to win a pressure cooker. Bummer! Enjoy your nap!

I think I am taking a nap as well....

You must mean "snooze the day", right? Enjoy your holiday!

A NAP??!!! How'd you score that??!!

Oh, and I guess you didn't get the message clearly enough about the pressure cooker. I said, "Pick me, pick me, pick me..." What part of that didn't you get? hehehehe

I LOVE civic holidays. Hubby's off work, but lots of stores are still open 'cause it's not a stat holiday. LOVE it!

I DID notice you were gone! :) Not that I'm online all that much these days, but you're a regular poster so I always check your blog (still don't have bloglines, don't know why I'm resisting so much)I'll check back tomorrow night, after we're ALL MOVED OUT, to read about your reunion. Enjoy your nap.

Do you think I can declare today a holiday if I want to? Because I want to.

"Solidarity with Canadians" Day.

It's too darn hot to "seize the day." I'm dyin' down here. DO NOT talk to me about 77 degrees right now and I will not talk about my 60 degree winter days come February, agreed? ;)

Well, I hope your family reunion experience was better than ours!

See the injustice - I'm a Canadian living in Canada AND I had to work today! ARgh!

Family reunion, huh? Those can be fun, or not, depending on the family.

Love the summery header! :)
