The pleasant drives out in the country to enjoy the blue skies and blossoming fields...
We took these around two in the afternoon yesterday. Wasn't it LOVELY outside?

Wouldn't that be pretty...in November?!
Amazingly enough, it even snowed here all day. Who would have thought that during our boy's spring b-day party, we'd all be stuck inside, because of snow???
I hear ya. We are living the sams damn thing.
Heidi
Looks the same here. It snowed yesterday. Great. Big. Snowflakes. I would have loved it in December.
Oh yuck, I'm sorry. They're saying we might get a little snow tomorrow, and it's almost enough to make me cry. I want spring to come and stay.
Our girls are so confused. They know that being able to see the grass means they can go out on bikes and scooters. "Oh, no! The snow, it's on the grass. Is summer over?"
It is a bit chilly here today, around 1 degree I think, but no snow!
I am enjoying the cookbook you recommended...Better Food for Kids. The recipes are so easy even I can do them!
So SPRINGY!
You must have got the storm that blew through Calgary the other day. They set record snow fall for the day. Do I dare mention the forecast for today here is sunny and 24*C? No? Okay, I didn't say a thing. ;v)
If it snows again here, I'm going to LOSE IT.
It's just not right. It snowed here yesterday, then I got an email from my Mum and Dad in Arkansas--they were grilling outside in their shorts, and the flowers looked beautiful, and more importantly, IT WAS NOT SNOWING!
Bummer! I hope your snow melts soon and some flowers make an appearance!
Ugh, we have had a few days like that. Hope you see some actual Spring soon!
I am sorry. Stupid weather.
It is supposed to snow here tomorrow. I can't complain--we have had 50-60 degrees for the last week though Rachel is doing enough complaining for all of us.
It was forecasted to sn-rain today but we just got rain. We saw some tiny little wild flowers starting to grow on our walk. It may be slow to come but spring in Canada rocks!
That CRACKS me up.I'm laughing REALLY hard. Ahhhh spring. I can laugh, right? Because we had snow here this morning too... just when I thought I was all over; and again.. it 's too darn cold in this drafty house to take a shower.
Oh. Oh no! It's past the point of funny now, isn't it, this interminable winter?
i'm not 100% sure I know where you live, but I'm glad I'm not there! It's cold here in the south today, but at least we don't have all that snow :)
We had two soccer games and an hour "layover" in between. It was dark, windy, and freezing to boot. Now my 5 year old is walking around with a lovely rattly cough. I am sooooo ready for spring!
I feel so awful for you, it was 75 degrees here yesterday. I could never live where you do. NO SNOW IN APRIL.
Well, it looks pretty.
We've still got a few feet on snow on our lawn, BUT it's really dusty here because of all the sand left on the road. Dusty and snowy -- what a great combo. At least it was 15 degrees yesterday which helped my mood immensely. I was only 'mildly foul' not ' a complete raging bitch.'
But we bought some bike gear yesterday and because I believe in weather jinxes, I expect it is going to snow any second.
we should totally trade houses for the week. it's so stinking hot today i want to scream. It's 98 degrees (I guess you'd call it 37)and might just take the chill off of your bones, and my kids could go with some time in the snow... could be the perfect plan!
grass is always greener -er- whiter on the other side, eh?
Ah, sarcasm. You really need a little sunshine in your day. Literally. Hope you get it soon!
you're kidding me.
wishing you warm.
I am SO SO sorry for all that snow. Blech.
Snowed here yesterday too. "Blah! said Toad. I'm going back to bed until May."
I grew up in Alaska, so I feel your pain. I have memories of hunting for easter eggs in two feet of snow.
Hahahaha! When I saw the first pic, I was, like, "wha?" Then, I saw the rest and totally got it. FUNNY! And, a wee bit sad.... ;)
Wow. I love snow. But not THAT much. It's really time for you guys to come down here and enjoy the bluebonnet season and warmth!
Oh - and I forgot to tell you that I love your new banner pic.
Hehe... makes me appreciate my autumn.
We have had this same kind of weather. I looked out last week to a total blizzard. I almost couldn't see the house across the street. But, the weather man says we will have one day of 80 degree temperature here this week. Hope you get the same.
Okay, I take back all my complaints about cold weather, even if we did have snow for a short time on Saturday...
Come on, sun! Start your shining!
Oh I'm so very very sorry. You have my sincere condolences.. ICK
Ummm, yeah. As a fellow Canuck we all know Canada gets snow, but this is ridiculous! You really deserve a break and some spring sunshine and warmth. Sending warm weather thoughts your way, fingers crossed that it all melts by...tomorrow!
Ah, the best thing about an April snow, is that in a couple days it's almost gone! When L (my son) got up the morning of the big snow he was absently holding himself while he had his morning empty (TMI?) and I'm not quite sure how he hit his mark 'cause he looked out the window during said venture and got very upset, "Man! It's not over! MMOOOOMMM! It's NOT over!" Yikes, I thought, pay attention to the task at hand.
Ah, yes, spring--the season of sarcasm and crushed hopes.
It's cold here too. In April. Blah.
Lori
Beautiful window shot.
We had snow over the weekend too and the drive in to church on Sunday morning was beautiful!
Bleh. I never love snow, no matter the season...fall, winter, spring...sometimes summer, but very rarely. Then, we get thunderstorms. :-)
